As for the slipper/boots I am knitting for The Boy Wonder, I finished the first garter stitch one in the car yesterday during our shopping excursion, realized I really don't like the fabric garter stitch makes and ripped the entire thing out. I started another in stockinette, but only have a few inches of the cuff,so again you will have to wait for those exciting pictures.
Ironically, in a matter of weeks I will be cursing these beautiful trees for dropping all these beautiful leaves that are bringing such a smile to my face this week...
I adore this tree covered acre...until it comes time to rake all the damn leaves!
The Girl Wonder loved this yarn I spun and dyed a month or so ago. Yesterday she started on a scarf for herself with it and has already knit 16"! Makin' her mama proud since 1996!And since it would be unfair to post a pic with one of the kiddos and not the other, here is my little war monger.. I slept like a baby before I had babies last night! Ahhh sweet relief!

We are enjoying the beautiful trees around here, too. They are spectacular!! Your daughter knits! that is so cool. I have all boys so that is just unimaginable around here. The stash is ALL MINE!
I too have a 1996 daughter. She amazes me every day. She too knits but has only completed one or two things. My 1999 daughter loves to start knitting projects and then have her mommy complete them. Anything for them...:)
The leaves are almost all gone here already. I'm envious :D
I can't wait to see the Boy Wonder's boot slipper thingies, they sound grand.
And it's awesome that your girlie is knitting! I hope someday my kids see how superbly awesome it is.
I love the rug. I keep telling myself to knit up one of those. My dd, also 1996 born, knows how to knit, but rarely does. I figure she'll eventually find it again. LOL, those slippers you're making for BW look like they'll fit in perfectly (I think we have that same toy...all boys do, I guess). Ah, the trees...they're lovely.
Just last night the Girl told me all she ever wants to knit with in the future is handspun. She has only ever knit with acrylic before, now she is sold on the good stuff! I always knew that one had expensive tastes!
I hope the leaves look like that by the time I make it back home! Perhaps we need to meet up and knit one day when I'm back. :)
My dd is 1994 and she too "so call" knit. She starts and than want me to finish or now just make request - this scarf, that color. I do have hope for my 9 year old son, he has asked me repeatedly to teach him and this weekend may be the time.
I love this time of year with the colors!!! at a distance.
I was just saying this very day that the leaves went from being gorgeous to dying and falling just this weekend - before I got any good pictures! Darn!
Love the stitch for the rug; very cool!
