can I cry over spilled Lemonade?

So way back a few months ago I submitted a design to be published in MagKnits. I was under the impression that the design would be published in the July issue, but I was sadly mistaken. The only thing I can figure is that my pattern writing skills are not what they should be. I really am disappointed. I personally liked my design (I bet that is what all the denied designers say), but understand that is the way things go.... will I try again? Perhaps, but I am not exactly know for working really hard at things I am not initally sucessful. Anyway, here are a few pics of Lemonade, modeled by The Girl Wonder (we are the same size).

Pattern: Lemonade (my own)

Yarn: Filatura di Crosa Elena (100% mercerized Mako Egyptian Cotton; 99yds [90 m]/50g) 9 balls. This yarn is discontinued.

Needles:US E/4 crochet hook for provisional cast on.
US 3 needles
US 3 circular 32inch

Amanda, the sweater is really beautiful! I am surprised with what happened at Magknits. I don't think you should give up because you really have a talent for designing. Are you going to make the pattern available? I would really love to knit it!

Maybe you can do a paid download through your blog?

The pattern is beautiful! I'm so surprised that it didn't get chosen. Maybe another month, another magazine? You do great work!

I love it, too. Please publish it yourself!

I can't imagine why Lemonade wasn't selected--it's beautiful! Maybe they had too many patterns to choose from.

Don't give up, though, you're too talented for that.

Bummer about MagKnits. But it's a great looking sweater (with a beautiful model).

I also wanted to post a comment to let you know that your pattern really has a lot of potential. You have definite talent and should try again to publish for sure!

I second what everybody said! The only reason I can think of why they didn't use it is because it looks abit like one of the others they did publish. Their loss.

I think it's lovely! I'd been looking forward to seeing it on Magknits after Sunshine (which I adore, by the way). It's their loss, for sure. Keep at it!
