I finished the Starghans for the Super Twins just in time for the shower today, however I received a phone call yesterday informing me there will be no shower as my friend was admitted into the hospital for observation until she delivers the babies! The larger twin is not producing enough amniotic fluid so they want to keep her under the watchful eye of the doctor so they can deliver them immediately if the baby is in danger. So far the babies are both ok, this is just a precautionary measure. Poor girl, she is only 31 weeks along so she may have a long stay indeed.
Theses pictures show the true colors of the afghans...
Here they are on my king sized bed... I think they will be big enough for cuddles for years to come!
Pattern: Beth's Little Star Afghan 27 rounds per blanket.
Hook: size H
Yarn: KnitPicks Swish Superwash 28 skeins for 2 blankets, but I have lots leftover. This yarn is much softer after washing and drying, but did seem to shrink a bit.
Size: 48" tip to tip after washing and drying

They look wonderful. I'm glad you got them done on time. I hope your girlfriend is doing okay.
Those are so beautiful! Not traditional blankies AT ALL. Wowzers!
Your friend is going to be thrilled! I hope everything is alright with the bubsies and the momma.
The blankets look fantastic! Great job, Amanda! Well wishes for your friend - I hope all three return safe and sound when it is all over.
Thank you for your nice comments. I appreciate your advice and sincerity. It helps so much to know that people are behind you!
They look fabulous! Best of luck to your friend for a healthy, speedy, pain-free delivery--in a few more weeks.
Those blankets are BEAUTIFUL! I am so impressed by your skill. The colors are unisex & will last way longer than the baby stage.
I hope your friend delivers healthy twins...does she knit? She could always fill up her waiting hours with that.
Wow those are spectacular! (Just when you think you've seen every baby blanket there is to see...) I bet it would cheer up your friend to see them - they're great!
Those are great! I was thinking the same thing as del -- if she doesn't already knit, it might be a great time for your friend to learn!
